UPDATE 16/11/09 (9:00 AM EST):
Kyatto here! Working super hard to make everything all nice and ~dazzley~ again!

First up to bat - Jury Duty! If you got notified that it's your time to fly, what are you sittin' around for? Move your tuchus! (If you have it, you need to review the canons ASAP!)

We also have some new staff amongst us! Nandireya and Kyatto join the ranks to help keep the forum running smoothly! And remember Dinky? She's now been promoted to Security!

And then there's… Zombie MONTH! which started on October 25th! Come on guys, where's the Zombie love? :( Did they already eat your brains?

The Plague looks like it's finally starting to die down! But don't think that means you still can't catch it if you're lurking around Ba Sing Se!

#LulasCouch chat night is now on Sunday. We can't handle typing and watching Glee at the same time. 8'D In place of the short lived Wednesday chat night, we now have Glee Skype Night. Every Wednesday at 8:30 PM EST. Add "eevachu" to your Skype contacts to join in.

And of course, Suki and Sokka are getting hitched! And yes, there will be an OPEN BAR! 8D

Hola cats and kittens! If you haven't noticed yet, HT has got a bucket full of cannon characters up for adoption.

The application process is super-easy now, so if you'd like to take a metaphorical stab at some great characters like Hakoda, Haru, Pakku, and KUEI (HINT HINT ;) ... I miss my lil' nerd honey), just make a post to the cannon app board. If you have questions, just snag a mod and they can help!

You may have noticed by the new colour coordination, but HODAMN. Hou Tian is under new management now with 76% more pugs and porn!

So yes, other than Luck and I now being your co-lords and masters, some of the staff positions have been re-organized. Nothing really big, just a bit of colour-coordinating.

Also, there are new forums afoot. Introducing the brand new RP Kiosk, which now holds the Classifieds as well as the new Canon Applications as well as Shop Applications, for all your bureaucratic needs.

Underground Ba Sing Se is now a roleplayable part of the board. Why, I have no clue. ._.;

Since we gettin' all democratic up in here, there' gonna be Hou Tian-style Jury Duty. Jury Duty "is a Canon-Approval team of regular members that will switch out per every three canons you evaluate from time to time. Members will be chosen at random depending on seniority and posts counted." The current list of reviewer is here. NOW GO READ ABOUT IT MORE.

Onto my self-pimpage: I MADE A USABLE MAP OMB. It's not done, but it is now functional. You can make suggestions for changes/new locations in this thread.

...Oh yeah and I fixed the board so that all sub-board links now open into the same window, as opposed to a new tab.

Well I believe that's all the change that's happened lately. Remember to tip your Pug Lords and Grease Monkey-Bears!

Creating a Shop

Places of Business
There are various locations in the Avatar world that will have shops. If your character would like to open their own store then you've come to the right thread!

Characters who do not own shops and would like to are required to come to this thread to gain the information needed to submit your shop idea for approval. You cannot have a shop unless it has been approved first.

If you decide that you no longer wish to keep up with your shop, you may either put it up for 'sale' in The Classifieds, or ask one of the Public Relations Moderators to remove it from the listing.

If you wish to be an employee at a shop, simply PM the shop owner.



The Application Process
All places of business must be submitted for approval. That means that as of 04 December 2008, no character may 'randomly' create their own business that has not been approved by a Moderator. Use only the businesses on the list or submit one for approval. You may post your application in the Shop Applications Board of the Roleplay Kiosk with the name of you business in the subject line.

Your Application should have:
  • Name of Business:
  • Location: Examples: Ba Sing Se, Upper Ring, or Fire Nation, Shu Jing
  • Owner: (Character name)
  • Employees: (If any)
  • Description: (What is your shop about? You don't have to give us information down to what exact inventory you have, but we want to know at least a paragraph or two of information concerning this business to give us an idea of what we're looking at)


Note: Official areas of business, like schools, jails, etc… are under strict moderation. Depending on whether or not your country leader wants these things will determine if you can be apart of them. You cannot be included into something that obviously doesn’t exist. If you have no country leader, talk to a Moderator (preferably one of the Public Relations folks, to get things goin')


After Approval
Once approved, you will need to create a thread like like this. It will need to have the title of your shop, a description of what it is and what it does, a list of all applicable threads relating to that business, and who to contact for information/reservations IE: Your username.

YOU, not the Moderators, will be responsible for upkeeping this thread. That means do not make a shop if you're not going to keep up with it.

You will need to have your business listed in your signature, or your character's signature as well.

A business thread will become 'stickied' (meaning that it will remain on top of normal threads), when you have acquired 5 staff members (1 owner, 1 supervisor, 3 employees ) and 10 roleplays. Inform a Moderator when you have reached this status.


For Players
If you would like to make a thread involving a listed business, please put that businesses name somewhere in the subject line. This will make it easier for folks to upkeep their respective threads.
