- It's mutually agreed that Aang's airbending students will be moved to Omashu for safe haven until Aang's true whereabouts are discovered and a course of action is decided.

May
- The Jade Shark continue their trek through the desert only to be caught in a war between sandbending tribes that includes a bid for power and caravan raids, even daring to incur the wrath of Jibade.

- Zuko recovers in time to return home for a happy reunion with Katara's family and the introduction of their newborn daughter, Lei.

- With the water slowly but steadily purged of the infection, the residents of Ba Sing Se begin to recover. Quarantine remains.

April

Consent Rules

Consent, it’s very important to know exactly what this word means and the impact it has on this forum. This section will guide you through how "Consent" will be distrubted forum-wide, and how it can help you better your roleplay ability and integrity as a human being.

What Is Consent?
Consent is to have permission. No Consent is to not have permission. How these words are applied on this forum is through IC actions; I can either have consent to harm your character or not have consent to harm your character. This Role-Playing forum as a whole is consent. That means that User A and her character cannot kill User B and his character unless User B allows it.

There are certain situations on this forum were No Consent applies, meaning, where you can and perhaps will be killed without a user having to need your permission to do so, but that will be touched upon in just a bit.
.
..
...
..
.

Now, a lot of things get Role-Played on this website, but most of all, due to the scenario and situation, you might find yourself in a lot of fighting. Fighting is done on a Turn-Based system through the use of ‘Attempts'. Doing an attempt move is when you go for a character meaning to inflict damage with an action, but you make that action an attempt.

Example;
Sailor Moon swung her might staff of justice around her wrist before grasping it firmly in her hand, she then swung in forward in an ATTEMPT to crash the blunt end right against the skull of the hentai-fun-time tentacle monster.

This gives the tentacle monster a chance to dodge;

Hentai-fun-time tentacle monster, however, would have wiggled away during Sailor Moon’s lengthy and fancy staff twirling, causing the swung to pass before it in a wide but harmless arch.

A character is allowed to defend itself against an attack THREE times, so choose what to defend yourself against and what not to defend yourself against wisely. Unless you have dodged/ducked/swerved out the way three times you will always be allowed to continue doing so, but if you used up your three times before taking an hit then you must take the next attack made toward you. Once you have gotten hit the three-dodge rule kicks in again, allowing you three more times to skillfully and logically, dodge your opponent.

Any attempt that results in physical contact that causes harm to the attacked character will count as taking a hit; even if the damage is lessened by a swerve, a failed parry, or the like. Negating the attack, or directly dodging will count as a use of one of the three defenses.

Example;
Xena, Warrior Princess met the eyes of her attacker, and paused only long enough to belt out a ringing battle cry. Unsheathing her sword, she lunged toward her attacker in an attempt to skewer him. She‘d be having shish kabobs tonight!

From here, the attacked party can either dodge, or take the hit;

This was all a big misunderstanding, and Tarzan the Ape-man was in no mood to be impaled on any swords. He squealed in horror at the clear path of her weapon and twisted out of the way just as it would have pierced him through; he was however, too slow to prevent the blade from adding yet another slash-born scar to his arm.

Tarzan, while not as run-through as Xena would have hoped, has taken a hit.

Likewise, the other character can do this as well. However, no matter how you fight, they cannot kill you unless you have given them permission to do so or you are not following the rules. In order to kill someone you must make negotiations between yourself and the opposing user before anyone dies.

The only time the consent rule does not apply is when a character has fatal injuries or disease that can be life threatening. This is not including spontaneous death, but rather, a realistic situation that a normal human being could not possibly live through.

Example;
If someone slices your throat open, you're not going to live through that. If you do, you're powerplaying. Be careful with the injuries your characters give and receive.

All deaths are kept on record with the moderators. Which means, you cannot ‘resurrect’ a character that has died.

Automatic Consent Zones

Certain Zones within Hou Tian are automatic consent. This means that within these regions, you are well aware that your character can and will be susceptible to possible injury and/or death WITHIN REASON. Characters in automatic consent zones must acknowledge the repercussions of realistic combat and Roleplay their character as such.

In this case User A can possibly kill User B in a duel, attack, or any other means of harm (within reason).

These Zones of Automatic Consent are The city of Jibade [Si Wong], The Sub-Saharan Plains, and The Sun Warrior's Ancient City.

Automatic Consent Situations

There are also automatic consent situations, which is when your character chooses to do something that can or will get them killed. Players who choose to risk their character's lives in such a way must be aware that they will be expected to accept consequences of their character's actions.

For example, if User A tries to assassinate User B's political leader, the User B has the right to execute your character.

Remember to use common sense, and not get your characters into extreme situations they cannot handle.

(NOTE; If a player finds an attack, execution, and/or mutilation to their character be unfair or unjust on another party's behalf, they may contact a mod to mediate the arguement.)

Just follow these rules and enjoy yourself and you’ll be alright! Please, if you have any questions, direct them to the Q & A. One of the Public Relations Staff will be sure to answer you as promptly as possible
